Este té es una mezcla de té negro, donde predomina la variedad Keemun, que es un tipo de té que lleva el mismo nombre de la provincia de China que produce este delicioso y joven cultivo de té.
Normalmente predomina esta variedad en algunos “english breakfast” ya que es muy apreciado por los ingleses, y por ello la marca lo incluyó en esta variedad.
Este té tiene un sabor de intensidad media, con un rico aroma dulce, casi frutoso, con un color intenso, y algunas notas maderosas en su sabor, que son fáciles confundir con el típico té rojo de China.
Esta variedad que les acabo de comentar es literalmente una “antigüedad”, y hoy Twinings la ha modificado, para comercializarla directamente como té “Keemun”.

My mother-in-law is the type of person who will save vintage tea sets, antique martini shakers and ancient appliances. Looking for some tea for breakfast at her house, I found this tea. I took a photo of it because the copy on the tea bag was incredible. I brewed it and was certain that it would be stale because I was certain it was old – but it was lovely. It was full-bodied, dark and a little smokey, not as malty as I usually like for a breakfast tea but totally drinkable.
