I received some free Twinings tea bag samples in the mail awhile ago, and this was one of them. Not too bad for a bagged tea, and it had a nice pomegranate flavor, although it was a little artificial. I think I prefer Bigelow’s Pomegranate Black just slightly over this one. I probably wouldn’t purchase more of this one, but wouldn’t turn it down if I were offered a cup!

-Standard teabag with a tag.
-Teabag smells lightly fruity. Tea liquor aroma is of sweet pomegranate.
-Tea liquor is a cloudy medium golden brown color.
-Tangy pomegranate flavor and finish. Light malty and juicy pomegranate aftertaste.
-Best with milk and sweetener.
-Good tea. A cup of softly tangy and sweet pomegranate.

Sweet and prominent fruit flavor, that comes across as more raspberry than pomegranate and at times, and more than a little bit artificial. Tastes a lot like a pom-raspberry filled candy. I don’t think I’d seek this one out again, but I wouldn’t turn down a cup.

Ok, they must have renamed this tea at some point – my tea bag clearly says just ‘Pomegranate’, with no mention of ‘Delight’, although the description is identical. Anyways…

The teabag smells deliciously fruity, tangy, and juicy. Yum!

I can’t recall what I thought of this one the first time or two I drank it… probably steeped it incorrectly too, so we’ll see what this round brings!

Steeped, it smells fruity but with a definite black tea base. Taste-wise it is much the same. Quite pleasant actually! I suspect I brewed it for too long the other times I tried it, because this is pretty good for a fruity black tea blend. And if there’s hibiscus (which I don’t think there is), it’s behaving nicely.

Not a tea I’ll likely try again (will just finish off what I do have), but mostly because there are just so many others out there! A nice afternoon cup. Now, I have to get my butt off Steepster and do my damn presentation that I’ve been procrastinating on all week!

got this in a swap on http://swap-bot.com/

Very nice – I love that it’s just black tea and pomegranate, without any hibiscus! Most fruit flavoured Twinings blends all come out purple-red and tasting the same. This has the juicy sweet-tart flavor of pomegranate and the expected natural red-brown color. A nice relaxing fruit tea.

Nice to find a local Bob Evans that serves a selection of Twinings instead of food-service-grade stuff. This was nice, even though the metal carafe couldn’t keep the water hot as I would have liked. Nice balance between the black and the “juicy fruit filling.”

I got two free samples of this from Twinings, and I am very pleased with it. You can really taste the pomegranate, but I don’t think it overwhelms the tea. It’s a wonderful blend, and I am adding this to my shopping list. It also tastes good cold with lots of sugar (if that’s your thing). I prefer it hot without any additives, but I did try it both ways.

Not quite as good as I expected. It has a nice smooth black tea base, and a good fruity flavor, but I wouldn’t say it is distinctly “pomegranate.” It’s a little bit fake tasting. It’s definitely not bad, but I was expecting something a little more sophisticated. This is on par with Bigelow’s Raspberry Royale (which I like).

A nice tea flavor, with a pomegranate bite to it. Not my favorite, but it’s a nice change.

We went to Bob Evans for brunch, and as usual, I ordered the tea basket. I was intrigued when I saw this for the first time in the front, so I tried some. Smelling the bag, I already sighed with delight. There was a rich combination of tea and fruit just in the smell, and after the first sip, I was in heaven. The flavor was very full and satisfying and needed no sweetening. I’ll definitely get some to use as a dessert tea!
Second steep was much weaker, though, probably because it was bagged.
