Drank this with a splash of milk – though I tried it plain first. To be honest, I think I preferred the tea before the milk addition. It’s a pretty aromatic and especially citrusy and bright bergamot used in the blend, and the chocolate notes themselves also have a fruity lean more typical of European chocolate/chocolate teas as well as that chocolate liqueur sort of undertone that can sometimes read as a bit “Tootsie Roll”. It’s personal preference, but I just think the milk clashes with those fruitier elements. Still a good tea, but now I just know this isn’t how I’ll prepare it in the future!!

This is by far my favourite TWG tea. Introduced to me during a decadent afternoon tea with a friend, and I came home with a 50g bag.
The earl grey is light on the bergamot with an aromatic scent of cocoa that carries over to its taste. It’s great for the days that you want something “chocolate-y” but you are trying to refrain from actually eating chocolate. This is the only “chocolate tea” that I have tried that retains a cocoa flavour without adding artificial flavouring or actual chocolate chips. The cocoa shells do the trick!
I love it hot with a splash of milk.

I buy too much tea! LOL! Looks like I have had this in my cupboard for a couple years now, have just finished the bag and liked it much more in the beginning when it was fresh. I had it cold steeped over night in the fridge for these last few cups and it wasn’t very remarkable at all. Hard to say if it was the preparation or the age of the tea, but I’m not feeling like I need to restock this. Ever. At this point in my tea journey I feel like honing in on my favorites instead of trying everything in sight, finding one or two gems per dozen or so that I try. I still have so much tea to go through before I can really get my cupboard dialed in. :/ Rough life, eh?
