Tasting Notes: watermelon | strawberry | berries
This sweet and fruity blend follows the footsteps of our favorite fashion icon. To mimic her classic polka dot style, we looked for red fruits dotted with seeds and discovered that strawberry and watermelon were the most delicious way to represent her. These fruits are as sweet as she is and the tea brews her signature pinkish red color. Be on the lookout for real slices of dried watermelon in the mix!
When first brewing this tea, you smell garden fresh strawberries and juicy, summer watermelon. In the taste you pick up a happy medley of berries including elderberries, black currants, blackberries, strawberries and raspberries. Unlike some hibiscus fruit blend teas, this brews a very soft flavor without being too acidic. While this tea is ideal served iced, it is also very good brewed hot. Also, to bring out more of the watermelon flavor, try using watermelon ice cubes!

Subscription tea for July!
I tried this one both hot and cold brewed, finishing it off cold. I quite like it. It’s a nice mix of sweet candy watermelon with a refreshing hibiscusy red fruit base. The watermelon does a nice job of balancing those tart hibiscus notes, while also not becoming too sweet. My only complaint is there’s a slight musty note at the end of the sip. Not sure from what, strawberry leaf maybe? I found it present in both the hot and cold preparations.
Would consider ordering a pouch of this if I were planning on making a Trader Nicks order. Their Sea Witch blend is still my favorite of their fruit tisanes, highly recommend that one.

This one is so fruity and sweet, but it makes for a hell of a cold brew. In terms of taste I’d say that it reminds me a bit of a cross between strawberry jello mix and some type of unsweetened red kool-aid. Really bright, a little bit sour and tart and also really “polished” red fruit taste. Now cross that with watermelon candy flavour and you’ve basically got this tea spot on.
I do feel like it’s a flavour combination I’ve certainly tasted before and there’s nothing about it that’s unique, but it’s also really tasty and I think the flavour is super fun for the character inspiration!
