Description from Thés du Japon:
Although it has never been registered, the Shizu 7132 cultivar, discovered by accident and sometimes called “Sakura Kaori” (cherry tree scent), is now famous for its unusual fragrance. Indeed, as soon as you open the package, you will be surprised by the sweet scent of cherry blossoms, or rather of Japanese sweets made using the flower. It is the natural fragrance of this variety of tea plant.
Infusing these fragrant leaves delights the senses with a floral bouquet that is sweet, even recalling confections, very deep and unique. The cherry blossom aroma foreshadowed in the dry leaves takes on its full amplitude.
The liquor contains very mellow, sweet flavours with something floral and spicy in the background. This tea has the tannic texture typical of cultivars with a very strong fragrance.
This Hon.yama tea with astonishing, exceptional flavours is a delicious discovery, and a radical change from usual senchas.
