From Thés du Japon

Description from Thés du Japon:

Although it has never been registered, the Shizu 7132 cultivar, discovered by accident and sometimes called “Sakura Kaori” (cherry tree scent), is now famous for its unusual fragrance. Indeed, as soon as you open the package, you will be surprised by the sweet scent of cherry blossoms, or rather of Japanese sweets made using the flower. It is the natural fragrance of this variety of tea plant.

This sencha has quickly become one of my favorites. The dry leaves have a strong, sweet scent. It makes me look forward to opening the package each time I prepare this tea. The tea itself is sweet and refreshing with a pleasant grassy flavor. I highly recommend this tea!
