Thank you, LiberTEAS, for sending me some of this to try!

It does taste like apple cider! The apple is strong and tastes like a Red Delicious. The spices are subtle (cinnamon is the strongest, but by no means overpowering), and there’s just a bit of the lemongrass at the end of the tea. The rooibos in this one tastes a bit woodier to me, but it really adds to the tea and makes it taste like fall and going to an apple orchard.

Definitely something I’ll be investing in!!

I love the name and description of this tea, although I don’t get much apple out of most teas I’ve tried. Does the apple come through strongly in this one?

Jaime

It’s pretty strong. But if you’re really wanting apple, I’d suggest Tazo’s Vanilla Rooibos. It really should have been named apple rooibos. I can send some if you like.

Meghann M

I think I’ve tried that. I think I had it as a latte style beverage when they came out with it at Starbucks. Yes that was very Apple-y!

This is really flavorful. The apple flavor is strong and the contrast of lemongrass is very appealing. The spices are not overwhelmingly spicy – just enough to keep it interesting. This is kind of like apple cider – only better!

Sounds yummy!

LiberTEAS

This one was surprisingly tasty. I think I’m always surprised when I find a rooibos blend I like, but truth be told, I am finding more and more that I enjoy. I guess there is still a lot of left over first impression of rooibos in my head – back when I first started blending tea professionally, the rooibos blends that were available back then were not very good. At least most of them.

Jaime

Seems that I’m lucky, then, in that most of the rooiboses (sp?) I’ve had I enjoyed. Or else they’ve improved since their beginnings: I only started drinking it in the past 2 years or so.

LiberTEAS

Yeah, I think that they have really improved over the last few years. I have been drinking for about 15 years now (but not rooibos)… I discovered rooibos about 10 years ago when I started really taking blending/flavoring seriously. A lot of blends out then were just not as good as they’re making today.

LiberTEAS

Jaime: If you’d like, I would be happy to send you a little bit of this tea. I have enough of it to share a bit with you, if you want? If so, please send me a PM and I’ll get it off to you as soon as I can. :)

I usually am not a fan of appley teas but I actually like this one quite well, it smells of rich roobibos & freshly picked apples. There are light notes of lemongrass & rosehips. All equalling up to a nice cup of spicy autumn tea!

Umm, tasty, warming, cozy. Enough cinnamon to do all that, then the apples adding to it, with the lemon grass and rosehips adding a little zing. Very nice.
