Tropical fruits effortlessly complement hand-rolled, delicate white tea pearls. A blend of kiwi, coconut and candied tropical fruit bits tempt you to pull up a hammock and sip your cares away!

How to Prepare

Use 1.5 teaspoons of tea per 8 ounces of water. Heat water to 175 degrees and steep for 1-2 minutes. 2oz of tea equals 25-30 teaspoons.

Ingredients: White tea, apples, rosehips, lemongrass, citrus pieces, kiwi bits, coconut chips, lemon myrtle and candied pineapple and papaya pieces.

Many thanks to Tegan for this sample! what a day! Running around doing errands and irritating my fibromyalgia (back and core hurt) but I was able to go 7 hours on my feet in a marathon of gettin stuff done…so I could come home and flop an (yes an) have some tea. (tomorrow I’m going to pay for what I did to my body today arrrrr). Anyhoose (did your grandma or grandpa say anyhoose?) I had this tea from Tegan that is low caffeine from Teavana and thought what the hay…some white tea, coconut, apples and kiwi, papaya, lemongrass and lemon peel and pineapple. Sounds good. I was really into wanting a good cuppa. I steeped 6 minutes and did a test sip…nah…watery…went longer and poured. Very watery still. I had put in enough tea. But, I added some more and kept brewing. Still not very flavorful. I added sweetening. Not good. Added more, and more. Still really no coconut, no flavor standing out and saying “Hello there, I’m Pineapple” or “Papaya” or even “Lemon”. If it was more acidic and stronger it would have been a cleaner. Sorry folks but it was dull and uh…dull. Think I’ll try something else. I’ve not had much luck with Teavana for some reason.

My Mum has fibro as well. Terrible thing it is! I’m so sorry Bonnie :(
but hey, I’ve read that one of the symptoms is often a heightened sense of taste and smell…

I just read an article about the possibility of organic coconut oil helping with fibro. It may be bunk, but I thought I would mention it in case it works.

Definitely one of my favorites from Teavana… for a while this was my favorite white tea. I’ve had this tea for a while now, but it is still very flavorful. I came across it as I was sorting through some of my stash (an ill-attempt at getting my stash into some semblance of control).

You can read my full-length review of this tea on The Tea Review Blog: http://www.teareviewblog.com/?p=2784

Have anymore!? LOL

Lori

No matter how I try it is near impossible to get any tea collection “under control”….LOL!

LiberTEAS

@TeaEqualsBliss – sorry, I finished off the last that I had in my stash last night!

Pearl teas are always fun regardless, but the fruit choice helps compliment the naturally delicate white tea perfectly.

After hard day at work I rushed home to sit and relax with my new favorite tea. I plan to order some of this for my Mom’s birthday (Can not think of a better present) lol

This is a difficult tea to rate for me. I like the flavor a lot but I find myself over-steeping to get just a bit more body out of it. Obviously, that turns a bit too bitter. I just don’t know that the cost to enjoyment ratio is there for me.

Sure, it’s a beautiful white, but a bit too light for my taste buds.

Try lower temperature for white tea (green tea the same) at 175 degree hot water, brew two-3 minutes minutes till the pearls are fully open. Enjoy- Nancy

Used up one last serving to make room in a tea tin. I forgot how nice this tea is. Even though this isn’t the freshest of teas, it’s still nicely fruity while still tasting like a quality white tea. I love the unfurling of the pearls. Sweet, light aroma propels me to higher places (or something like that). Might have to purchase again sometime.

This is one of my favorite teas. It’s light and fruity and doesn’t need sweetener…although I do add some sometimes to give it a bit more.

I resteep the leaves at least three times and still get good flavor. And then there are the steeped pieces of pineapple to eat afterward!

Upon first sniff, I’m not fond of Teavana’s Frutto Bianco Pearls White Tea. It smells too similar to Hawaiian Punch– sickly sweet and kind of stinky like over-ripe fruit. I dislike Hawaiian Punch. I disliked it as a kid, and I dislike it even more as an adult. But, if you can get over the smell (or for some reason you actually like Hawaiian Punch) I think you’ll like this tea. It’s like a tropical island in a mug!

The candied papaya and pineapple are the two flavors that stick out to me, but this blend also includes: creamy coconut chips, kiwi, lemongrass, lemon peels, and hand-rolled white tea pearls (“from paradise” Teavana’s website notes!)

I’ve gone back and forth about trying this with sugar, but ultimately decided it tasted just fine unsweetened. I love the fruity aftertaste it creates in my mouth. Sometimes the aftertaste seems sweet, although that could just be my imagination. Also, I’ve never had this tea in summer when tropical flavors are appropriate. I’ve only had it in the winter. It reminds me this world isn’t grey, snowy, and cold all the time– just most of the time (here in Michigan, I mean).

Bottom Line, Frutto Bianco Pearls is like Hawaiian Punch for adults. And no, I don’t mean spiked with booze. It’s a pleasant beverage, hot or cold, when I’m not fiending for caffeine.

Good. Maybe I just don’t go for the really fruity, blended teas. I like them, just not as much. This one was almost too much.

Almost ended up with burnt white tea thanks to the Teavana bag. Be sure to go by the booklet at the store not the bag. They told me on the bag to steep it for 5 minutes! 2 was just enough to give a delicate taste and subtle pineapple flavor, which is key in my opinion to a good white tea. Although I must add that if you want the pineapple flavor more pronounced let the finished tea sit after brewing for about 10 minutes before drinking. The pineapple seems to develop with time. I may need to try this iced soon for that very reason. Very good. I would repurchase.
