From TeaSource

Powerful, but subtle. Flower aromatics, soft mouthfeel, and the patient character of rock being eroded by the river. It defies an obvious description, but it doesn’t need to prove itself.

Made from a one bud, three leaf pick from the classic Shui Xian cultivar growing at 3,600 feet. Shui Xian (translation: “Water Immortal”) is used for making many different kinds of tea, but it’s well known as rock tea for its soft body and presentation (unlike Rou Gui, which can be a little more wiley). This lot was produced on May 2, 2020 in Wusandi in the Wuyi mountains of Fujian province. It was allowed to rest and roasted again one year later to soften the character. The slow and patient process of developing this tea brought forth all the best qualities of Shui Xian. Wushandi is the birthplace of Shui Xian and has the most old Shui Xian plants (50 years+) in the Wuyi region.
