The company calls this a “bold jasmine handiwork.” I don’t think “bold” fits. The jasmine is noticeable, but the green tea flavour is strong and dominates it. I really love jasmine, and want jasmine teas to be pretty strongly floral. This tea is very green, and although the jasmine is clearly present, it’s not a satisfactorily significant element. The last jasmine I drank before trying this was Kusmi’s, and I think that was way better.

There’s nothing unpleasant about this tea, and it smells and tastes pleasant, but for those looking for an assertive jasmine taste, this tea isn’t so good. I’d recommend it for something like a worn out Sunday afternoon cup of tea, when I’d wanted more of a hot, strongly blossom-y morning cup.

Good if you like the aroma and taste of jasmine. The green tea base is subtle, but I find the jasmine taste to be dominant. Leaves a flowery aftertaste until I drink something else. Still, an enjoyable cup and one that should be sampled.

A Chinese green tea with the addition of Jasmine. Nice, light tea with distinct Jasmine aroma and flavor but not very bold. Kind of fights with the tea for dominance. Slightly astringent at the end. Beautiful deep golden color suggests a tea heavier than it is. Re-steeping lead to a lighter colored tea with the Jasmine essence much diminished bit but with lots of green tea flavor still showing up. Second steeping only 1 1/2 minutes to try and preserve a bit of floral flavor and reduce astringency.

This tea, marked as organic, did not strike me at first as something special but as I am a lover of jasmine teas, it has grown on me over time. And now, for months already, this is the tea I usually start my mornings with. I have to say this is one of the best non-pearl jasmine teas I have tasted. The taste of jasmine is there but for me it is not as strong as in jasmine pearls. The result is very mild-tasting, friendly and well-balanced: the green tea does not get lost behind the jasmine but does not dominate either. What is a bit rare for a jasmine tea is that it tastes really fresh (and refreshing — not grassy though). Special points for exquisite aroma of the tea while in the bag. Be careful not to oversteep.

Amazing… but too much caffeine for me.
