From Teabox

Dikom is famous in the industry as the ‘Queen of Jokai’ for its stylish, black, tippy appearance and classy malty liquor. This summer, the Dikom’s black tea makes a very smooth and mellow cup. Its trademark maltiness also makes an appearance. Choose this for your everyday breakfast tea – it won’t disappoint.

LIQUOR

Mellow notes of wood, caramel, tree fruit

TASTE
The liquor starts out on a sweet, clean note. Woody and malty notes with thick and full textured liquor. Pleasant amount of astringency in the liquor which accentuates the raw fruit characters. The finish has a note of tree fruit that’s lingers for a while.

A hearty breakfast spread of buttered toast, jam, and fresh fruit

1.5 tsp for 250mL water @90C, steeped five minutes, drunk plain.

Picking date: 10 July 2020.

Okay, first off, I’m super-impressed that Teabox puts the picking date on their packaging.

Another gorgeous copper liquor. Aromas of flowers, caramel, figs and maybe dark plums, and a very faint scent of leather. Malty but overly tannic — very soft for an Assam, in fact. No bitterness. Smooth, with a slightly astringent finish. I really dig the raisiny, stone fruit notes here.
