The robust, hearty look of the leaf, the beautiful, consistent manufacture, and the plethora of gold tips suggests a late second flush tea from Assam, but this Singbulli has pure Darjeeling bonafides. The deep, expressive mahogany red liquor reveals essences of fermented honey, sherry wine, retsina, and fresh pine. If that’s not enough, it’s versatility allows it to take a dollop of dairy, for a lovely, aromatic milk tea. This is an all-day tea, but would have a special place at the breakfast table.
This garden was established by British planters, and the Factory was set up in the year 1924. Since 2003, the tea garden is being managed by Jayshree group. The garden is located about 45 Kms from Siliguri and produces Darjeeling Orthodox Black Tea, Green Tea and Speciality Teas.
