I agree! Iced tea is so handy! And you don’t have to worry about it getting cold or over-steeping as much either!

Did you see DavidsTea is promoting teapop? I’m totally curious about what it’ll be like – gonna have to grab club soda and give it a try!

Yesss! I never worry about oversteeping.

I saw that tweet but I haven’t looked at it. It sounds like something I wouldn’t be into but that K would LOVE.

Yeah my hope is that J will like it and I can slowly get him addicted to tea toO! :O He likes pop bc of the caffeine and carbonation but doesn’t want all the sugar. This is perfect!

Weird. It doesn’t say anything about lemons in the ingredients, but it’s all I can taste, along with the black tea base. It’s good, but not amazing.

It IS amazing if you eat it with Devil’s Food Cake Cupcakes…

I can see why this wasn’t a big hit with you! It’s v flowery and Earl Greyish. We liked it though. Strong + black = breakfast tea ACHIEVED!

TeaLady441 12 years ago

Awesome. Glad you liked it. I hope I sent you a big sample. I can send more?

And it’s not terrible, it just didn’t wow me.

The ingredient list of this tea intrigued me so I decided to make this the first tea I tried from the mystery tea box Katiek sent me while I was out of town.

I have to agree that this tastes like black tea plus lemons and that really is a surprising flavor to get out of this tea since lemons are not on the ingredient list. It was pretty disappointing hot so I decided to do a huge pitcher cold steeped and see if any of the other flavors came out. Even after 8 hours they didn’t, but I did notice that the lemon flavor wasn’t as overwhelming (a plus for me since I don’t like lemons). Either way it isn’t a terrible tea, just little disappointing. I’ve been drinking a lot of it the last few days in an effort to sip down my samples and I definitely prefer the cold steep.

BEST COLD!

I really didn’t like Summer Meadow as a hot tea, but cold, oh my god! It’s fantastic on hot days when your doing yard work.

I brew it hot the day before, brewing it at double strength and stick it in the fridge to chill, adding enough sweetener to approx. 1 tsp per cup. The next day you pour it in a half full glass and add ice. So fantastic, slightly sweet but mostly from the natural fruit sugars, very fruity a little lemon-y, which is great when your working up a sweat. Since you added ice to a strong brew you don’t have to worry about the flavor diluting horribly.

Its a wonderful alternative to powdered ice tea mix.

Iced
