This old favorite is full-bodied and stimulating. Adding milk gives it a silky texture.

It has a slight smokiness but it’s a good basic English Breakfast blend, strong enough to get me going in the morning.

I’ve often wonder how Stash’s loose teas compare to their bagged teas (which are so-so in my opinion). What do you think of them?

Carolyn 16 years ago

They’re ok. The Stash loose tea has larger leaves than the Twinings loose tea and a bit more complexity in taste. But it doesn’t compare with the wonderful Golden Moon or Holy Mountain or Upton Tea selections. I am drinking it mournfully missing my beautiful Sinharaja.

Part of my Stash Assortment. I may have over steeped it since it was too bitter. If I try it again, will steep about 3 minutes.

This tea was gifted to me from my mom for Christmas. Pretty standard English Breakfast black tea here. I keep it at work for when I want a caffeine boost, but don’t want the jolt of coffee. The slight smokiness is a nice touch!

This is a very decent english breakfast! Full and smooth, and perfect to get me going before work.

I love it with milk and splenda.
