Tea Story: We get the name Hika from the Japanese term that describes a toasty aroma in a tea. This toasty aroma is created by the masterful roasting of a sencha, a Japanese stlye green tea. Senchas are famous for their crisp, green, slightly astringent flavor- a flavor that is extremely clean and can even be buttery.
Our Hika Sencha is unusual in the world of senchas because, in addition to the traditional sencha flavors, the forward, dominating flavor is of toasted or roasted quality. Really delicious!
