Ryu-Mei Organic Matcha is grown and harvested on the fertile slopes of the Kyoto mountains, away from any industrial centers. Surrounded by trees which block out any remaining pollution or chemicals, our farms use no chemicals or pesticides. Our products have passed the rigorous inspections of both the USDA and the JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standards), and have been granted with certifications from both. This is an honor that not many other tea companies can boast.
Leaves for our Grade 1 Matcha powder are harvested when they are at their youngest, resulting in a tea that possesses a smooth, sweet taste, vivid green color, and an abundance of vitamins and minerals. Usually reserved for ceremonies, the best way to confirm the quality is to try it for yourself!
