This 2014 spring gushu pu-erh tea is hand-picked, completely hand processed and also hand-pressed with a traditional stone mould. The name of the tea usually represents the tea mountain that it was picked. The tea leaves are picked from old tea trees, usually 200 – 600 years old tea trees. The tea leaves are seldomly picked from a single tree or from the oldest trees. This kind of single tea trees or oldest tea trees leaves can be also acquired but it’s price is usually the double or even more.
The further review is my personal tasting notes. Anyone tasting this tea could feel different tastes, aromas and its similarities. The water, the way of heating it, the tea vessel, the tea cup, the air, the mouth tasting condition, an amount of leaves, all these can influence the final outcome of tea soup.
wild, wild, wild and natural, the aroma of tea leaves in the hot teapot is very thick, something sweet and ripe, lets brew it, the first sip makes an impression of at least a third one when the tea leaves are open but this one, very thick from the start, even the tea soup is crystal clear and bright, not bronze like, a really tasty tea, a specific Naka, even better than last year I must say, amazing how a 30 seconds brew can give such a delicious tea, I put about 6 grams per 100 ml teapot, a tea worth of a king, a typical Naka bitterness fills the whole mouth, clears the mind, uplifts the body, the third brew is really powerful, the edges of the tounge produce a sweetness, its like a sugar melted in the middle of your tounge and then over flows to edges of the tounge, the caramelized bitterness which stays in your mouth, very desired one, not harsh at all, this fourth or fifth brew is too much, I do not know if this my personal feeeling but this spring Naka is worth of the money, the tea soup is so rich that you are mesmerised, it is like you have eaten a bunch of tea leaves, rather fresh ones, very clear bitterness.
NaKa. I had one fr Chawang and was seriously drunk for 2 days
How in the world do you afford puerh.sk?
I payed €13 (~$14.1) a 25g sample of this. For comparison White2tea sell a 2005 NaKa for $32. Other teas in my order to pu-erh were similarly priced and I have found the quality to be excellent.
$15/oz is steep $32/oz is indeed steeper I guess ill rephrase how can you afford to drink naka I am jealous
