This tea is made of ECO planted small tea trees, not gushu leaves, planted near Yiwu Wangong..
I decided to choose a good small tree tea pu-erh tea, the Yiwu is a good choice until it is clean and well made. The first sip is already sweetish, again I used about 6 grams for 100 ml of water. This is a very good tea to compare with gushu teas, it is good, tasty, slightly bitter Its aftertaste is very sweetish. Later infusions show a stronger bitterness. The aroma is very strong, almost perfume like, very fruity and Yiwu like. The taste is very comfortable, no side undesired tones at all. I am using a duanni teapot which is not usual for me but I decided to test this little fellow and I like it with some teas. I dare to recommend this tea to any pu-erh and non pu-erh novice. It is also a good one to ones who like clean and tasty affordable Yiwu tea. This tea does not end with fourth infusion, it is just starting to give its best, shows more bitterness that is a cause of high amount of leaves in a teapot that now with open leaves takes only 60ml. The fruity aroma is staying even in the cold pitcher and a cup, a very good sign. The sixth infusion is still very good a bit loosing its strengh, this is a good sign otherwise I would think that it was blended with gushu leaves :-). After lunch I brew this tea another 6 times and the tea leaves were still giving a valuable drink of Yiwu pu-erh tea.

I keep recieveing samples of this with my orders, so I have a Frankenstein cake now, lol. The leaves are light silver and loosely compressed. I can pick up some nice yiwu-like scents of slight sweet, subtle, and soft florals. The grassy youngness still shows strongly. I warmed my teapot and placed some inside. The scent opens into some heady florals, with sweet and tart tones, also I can note a bit of smoke and fruitiness. The taste is grassy with just a tad of sweetness. The huigan was incredibly faint. The bitter continued in each steep and became a tongue numbing astringent. Also, I note that the smoke tone appears around steep three. The brew continues in that manner and stays consistently basic. The qi is noticeable with a fair head rush and some face warming, but that is the extent.There is no doubt that this is organic plantation tea. For the price (mine was free), it’s a fair tea I guess, but I wouldn’t seek this out.

This is an organic plantation tea from pu-erh.sk. I found it to be very good. The first steep was like liquid beef jerky, smoky and sweet. As I got further into it, some fruitiness came through. The smoke lasted several steps, but it was well integrated into the flavor. It is a durable eye-opening drink, and I get the feeling it will age well. Kind of like a premium Dayi sheng, only organic.
I recently made my first order to Pu-erh.sk, a pu erh vendor based in Slovakia. I first heard about this vendor from TeaDB (thanks James) and read some reviews by Hobbes. Anyway, after some excellent communication with the seller (Peter) I put in my order. The order was received in less than one week and the packaging was impressive: the box was double cardboard and the contents were padded with foam bits. This is the first tea I have reviewed; there are others on the way…

Dry leaf: Loose compression. Nectar/pollen sweetness. A flower on a summer’s day.
Wet leaf: Strong concentrated syrupy sweetness, that is emitted as a constant aroma, rather than one that fades away.
Summary: Soft, sweet and floral/perfumy.
Notes: This session was accompanied by some cheese (Old Amsterdam) in later steeps.
5s – Light, pale yellow liquor. Soft, floral sweetness. Sweet raisins. The flavour swells; the finish fades slowly leaving a sweet raisin finish.
10s – Light, pales yellow liquor. The raisins are brighter. It leaves the mouth dry, but it is not astringent. It makes the mouth water. It is developing a syrupy thickness. It is pleasantly sweet. Not complex. I’m feeling warm. The effects of this tea appear slowly.
15s – Light, pale yellow liquor. A bunch of raisins now. Bitterness cuts through the sweetness to provide friction, which make it interesting. There are no obvious lemons.
20s – Light, pale yellow liquor. Becoming astringent. Lemons have appeared. Raisins in the finish. Dry mouth.
Reboiled kettle.
25s – Darker, pale yellow liquor. Raisins on the front of the tongue; this lingers. Astringent at the end of the cup.
30s – (Eating Old Amsterdam cheese) The raising sweetness softens the strong mature flavour of the cheese.
35s – There are some similarities between tea and cheese, mainly the rounded, sweet flavour.
40s – Has a syrupy consistency that can be felt in the throat on the swallow. Flavour is very much light floral.
1 minute – Dark pale yellow. Base sheng taste of stewed leaves and plums. That means the end of the session.
