This is certainly an interesting fruity herbal, though I don’t know if this is dragonfruit. It’s not like that’s a flavor I have often. The hibiscus is evident, and I get mostly apple and strawberry. There’s something else there that isn’t as clear. I do think it’s tasty and suspect it could be excellent iced (but I made it all at once hot so I can’t test that this time).

Very quick note for day 5 of the Plum Deluxe herbal calendar. Long day, very tired. This is better than I expected. I have not had dragonfruit in a long time, so I don’t super well remember what it tastes like and therefore don’t know how accurate the flavor on this blend is. But it’s tart and sweet and lightly juicy. Note that I’ve been leafing this calendar’s teas heavily this year just to avoid having a lot of tiny half-packets around. So I’ve just been doing the full packet in a large mug.

Hmm I feel like I’ve had this tea from another company before, which makes me annoyed that I paid $7/ounce for it from Plum Deluxe, especially since it’s not a blend I loved previously. The flavor is light, but also a little…not tangy, but something not super great. It’s a bit of a weird flavor but not really like dragon fruit. Yeah I’m disappointed with this one. Just a little sour and not great. I made the rest of it into a giant pitcher mixed with some better teas, just to get rid of it. I feel pretty annoyed about this one every time I drink it.

The ingredients look the same as the Simpson & Vail dragonfruit rooibos…

Oh yeah, I’ve had 1-2 other teas from them that I think were sourced from S&V, so that would make sense.

Cameron B.

Seems very dishonest considering they strongly imply that they blend all of their teas in house…

And they could at least pick the good ones from S&V lol!

AJRimmer

Yeah, I unsubscribed from their emails so I wouldn’t be tempted by their sales anymore, but I still have a fair number of teas to finish up from my last order.
