From Plum Deluxe

Find yourself in a delightfully calming, quiet moment inside your teacup. This tea is a blend we are very excited about! We start with fresh elderflowers — a unique herb not as often used in teas. Then we pair it with lemon peel and rose petals to add a floral zing that is both refreshing and relaxing. Honeybush tea and a touch of vanilla essence add body. The combination is simply delicious — we literally almost called this tea Elderflower Awesomeness.

All Plum Deluxe teas are hand-blended and infused with love in Portland, Oregon. Each 1 oz tea packet makes 15-20 cups. All organic ingredients — no sulfites, no artificial chemicals, non-GMO.

This a very rosey blend. Most of the blend looks like rose petals. I like this blend, its very calming, a great evening tea for me. The vanilla and rose are a perfect pair in this blend and the lemon brightens it up.

Day 6 of the Plum Deluxe herbal advent calendar. I’m so behind on posting notes for this calendar, and that’s partly because I have spent literally weeks trying to figure out what this tea reminded me of. At first I thought it was maybe a pastry of some kind – a macaron, or perhaps more specifically an Ispahan – but that’s not it. Then I thought maybe it was Alice’s Tea Blend from Alice’s Tea Cup, but that wasn’t it either. Finally, finally, I figured it out! This tastes like how my favorite soap smells! It’s Rose Jam from Lush, and it smells gloriously like rose, vanilla, and lemon. I can’t believe how long it took me to place this profile. The tea tastes like a pastry version of Rose Jam. So so good!

Ooo I’m a rose jam fan too! Last year they didn’t have any body wash left in their Boxing Day sale by the time I checked – hopefully this year is better!

Their Boxing Day sale is so intense! Stuff sells out between when I put it in my cart and go straight to check out! It’s the sale I put the most effort into all year.
