So I actually pulled this one out yesterday, but it was already late in the day and I wasn’t in the mood for a plain black tea, so I set it aside for this morning!
It’s quite nice, actually. I expected it to be more brisk than it is, but it’s quite smooth and has a lovely sweet and biscuity flavor to it. It’s a bit bready as well, so maybe like a graham cracker (which to me, lies somewhere between biscuit and cracker). There’s a brown sugar sweetness as well, and a syrupy dried fruit quality that reminds me of Assam’s raisiny notes.
Unexpectedly nice for a humble teabag full of tiny CTC bits!
