From Murchie's Tea & Coffee

Murchie’s Mango Tea – The taste of sun ripened mangoes and smooth black tea in a medium cup. Perfect for a personal treat! A winning combination of rich, ripe mangoes and smooth black teas make for a mouth watering brew. The flavour is not over the top, but rather, juicy and has a wonderful aroma. An exotic blend of black tea and pure fruit flavour.

I like the scent of this – it’s quite tantalizingly fruity. There aren’t any mango pieces in it, to my disapointment, but according to the seller they use ‘real mango oil’ in this tea, so I suppose that gives it some authenticity.

I took the first sip of tea while it was still quite hot and I didin’t really taste much except the Ceylon base. Naturally I felt rather cheated, but when I let the tea cool down a bit the mango flavour started to come in. It’s not very strong, more like a pleasent hint to compliment the black tea than the main event.

Not bad, but I was expecting a bit more out of this tea than I got.

Thanks Jillian!!!! :) I appreciate the opportunity to try this!

Dry Leaves smell like artificial flavoring…like mango powder candy or something. As it infuses the scent is becoming less ‘fake’ and more towards the natural scent of mango. YAY!

It’s medium brown in color but still watery/see-thru and clear.

The Black Tea Taste and the Mango Taste are both there but not very strong at all. It’s a little flat. It’s not bad tasting but it’s not very flavorful either.

It has a slippery aftertaste…which is rather strange but oddly pleasant. This is “ok” and I’d like to try it iced or maybe some good-ole SUN TEA with it. For now…I will go with this average rating…

It’s “OK”

This tea smells and tastes amazing! I really like the black teas mixed with fruit as it tends to take away some of the bitterness. This is a great breakfast tea, not too sweet and wonderfully smooth. The flavour is simple, but it doesn’t suffer at all for this.
