From Mount of Olives Treasures Tea

In ancient days the white tea in this special blend was reserved for royalty. We’ve combined white tea and healthful green tea with a variety of berries for a subtly perfumed beverage that will pamper your senses. Green tea is a natural source of antioxidants, which may help protect the body from the damage caused by free radicals.

INGREDIENTS : White tea, green tea, hibiscus, apple pumice, rose hip, elderberry, blackberry, blueberry, natural flavors of blackberry and blueberry, olive leaves, lemon grass, grape leaves, pomegranate leaves, hyssop.

This is a weak tea – if you’re using one bag, go for a 6 oz. cup, not a big mug! It steeps a pretty pale pink color, but the paleness is telling. The berry aroma is perfectly pleasant, but the flavor is light, more of a washed out rose hip/hibiscus/berry combo with a greenish-peppery-herbal tea underpinning. Not my favorite from this brand, their signature herbal blend does not seem to mesh particularly well with the tart flavorings here.

Before I steeping kind of smelled like a room that had been closed for a while…a hint of musky, moldy smell…not much scent after steeping, maybe a hint of Berry. Darker in Color than I thought it would be…definitely the Berry factor. Can taste a bit of green tea, white tea after taste with a tad of Pomegranate flavor and berry. It’s ok.
