Thankfully this tea resists my tendency to over-steep, because I forgot about it for a few minutes, and almost doubled the recommended steep time. Even with those extra few minutes though, the tea comes out pleasant and drinkable, with a strong grassy/flowery flavor, and just a hint of bitterness that actually adds to the overall enjoyment.

This is a pretty tea! I steeped the loose leaf version and was surprised to see the flowers open up and drift around as the tea steeped. I didn’t realize that there was green tea, so I steeped a little hotter than I might have otherwise. It’s a floral tea that seems like one that could be universally liked. I think this one, in particular, could make for a lovely afternoon tea get together in a glass pot with non-tea-drinking friends.

I got myself multiple samples from a Whole Foods, out of the 6 this tea really stood out the most! Its a good example of a union of harmony between a delicate flavor and the brightness of tea, and it is quite re steeped making it quite a buy! The flavor profile is a cross of near hibiscus thanks to the sunflower bits, giving the tea a flowery smell and a slightly sweet and tangy taste. The rhubarb gives the tea heartiness and while the tea blend brings the liveliness out of it. I certainly would want more!

So overjoyed that my mighty leaf order came today. This is my first time trying their loose tea. Not only do the loose teas make way more than their teabags, it’s way more cost effective and so much better on the environment.

Smell is awesome – not fruity, but organic.

It’s possible I used too much tea or over-steeped – it was a bit strong, but like Hannah said, the flavors are really subtle so it was nice to be able to taste them a bit more. The bitterness isn’t too bad, so the tea is a bit forgiving in that regard. After a few tastes, it does kind of taste like darjeeling or irish breakfast. I will steep less next time and see if that changes my opinion.

The flavors of this tea are really subtle, so I like to steep it for as long as possible. Still, I’ve had to get used to this. It wasn’t my favorite at first, but now it’s good when I want something that tastes very clean and earthy.
