This, iced, is quite possibly one of the most enjoyable things in the world, ever. It’s pretty much ruined all other iced tea for me. It is so good. So, so good.

Yay! I love a good Moroccan Mint and iced they are so good!

ashmanra

I was trying to cut my stash down a bit, but now I want to try Moroccan Mint! Iced tea is very welcome around here.

Missy

I’ve been trying to convince him to buy a pitcher dedicated to just his Moroccan Mint, he loves it so much. ;)

Dylan Oxford

We have three pitchers. I vote one of those can be dedicated ;)

ScottTeaMan

Mee too! Do they use A gunpowder green as a base tea?

Stash has a tasty lime tea…….I <3 lime!

Dylan Oxford

They do actually use a gunpowder green, and it was really my first exposure to gunpowder tea.

Missy

@Scott that looks like another great iced tea candidate. :)

Missy

@ ashmanra we just ordered more. I can send you some to try when it gets here if you like.

ScottTeaMan

If tou like lime-and I do, it is delicious!

ashmanra

@Missy: I would love to try it! Did Dylan like the pear tea?

Missy

Yes he did. I’ll get you some Moroccan Mint out when we get our shipment in. I don’t expect to see it for a week. It is normally faster than that but things happen. Best not to expect too much. :D

Yay! I finally got my Moroccan glasses today, so at last I can do the tea face off between four types of Moroccan Mint. The Serendipitea version and this one were provided generously by Missy. Thank you, Missy!

I noticed that this tea had the most fluffy little “bits” and I thought briefly that it might be a lower grade of gunpowder green. Then I realized that the bits were mint, not tea! This tea came in second for me in the taste off, behind Tin Roof Teas. The peppermint in the mix doesn’t appeal to me as much, but the green base is nice, not smokey, and the spearmint is refreshing! This is very minty and good! All of the teas were tasted both unsweetened and sweetened.

Thank you, Missy! :D

What are your Moroccan glasses like? And where did you find them? I’m a sucker for collecting tea-ware, and this is one kind I’ve never looked into before.

Missy

Your welcome :D

ashmanra

I bought the red ones on harney.com! They are even prettier in person! The bottom center part of the glass is clear and the rest is red, and they are hand made blown glass. There is a flare in the middle…I guess to serve as a fill line and to keep your fingers from getting burned because hot tea in glass is…well, hot! I used the coupon code Royal12 plus spent a point so they were less expensive. There are lots also available on amazon and on eBay, but the more I looked at these the more I loved them, and I don’t have to mess with chipping gold trim and peeling paint, though the ornate ones are beautiful, too! I hope you find some you love!

Spoonvonstup

Thanks for the recommendation! I will definitely keep my eyes open for them now.

eeek – I just went to the Market Spice website, $7.00 for shipping, that is VERY annoying.

This is the only other green tea in my cupboard, for the time being. I enjoy the sweetness that the spearmint brings to the bite of the peppermint. This particular blend has done really well at keeping the actual tea in the flavor profile as well. High marks for that.
