Our Grower’s Sen-cha is harvested kabuse style, meaning that they are covered from sunlight briefly prior to harvest. Young leaves harvested from May to the beginning of summer are gently processed and then rolled into delicate little needles. Since this tea is delicate, we suggest brewing it in lower temperatures than regular Sen-cha. A tablespoon of leaves, brewed in a cup (8 oz) of hot water (160F to 180F) for 1 to 2 minutes will brew a delicious cup.
