More strongly oxidized, more strongly roasted Taiwanese GABA oolong from the leaves of the SiJiChun cultivar from the gardens of the Mingjian area, 300-350m.a.s.l.. Like all our Taiwanese GABA teas, this one is also produced by Mr. Yu.

The tea was roasted in March 2023 by our well-known Mrs. Yuwen, who is a master of roasting in the style of competitive Dongding oolongs. This style of baking is more demanding on tea but above all on skill. Baking is repeated several times and starts at low temperatures and gradually increases the temperature.

Harvest: October 2022

This one is more vegetal and savoury than most GABA teas I’ve had. The aroma is very familiar – there are notes of pear and baked fruits, as well as some toasty ones. The tea has a pleasant buttery mouthfeel with a cooling finish and it tastes of fruits, burnt food, and moss.
