Smell on the dry leaf was too confusing and out of the package I’d say there is a spice note like cinnamon which makes no sense.
Wet leaf… so it begins, not appealing based on the aroma coming off of it. Nothing really new there, most of the time the aroma is better than what is in the cup so already a bit concerned about what’s to come of the session.
Liquid cools down and time to taste:
Insane like like all oxygen-free processed teas. Raspberry pie with cinnamon butter crust?
For me, that’s what is going on.
Slight texture and strong mouth feel building, but back to back sips of such a unique tea is making it very enjoyable. Post sip the mouthfeel is a texture that I don’t particular like, so the session moves quickly because the taste is tasty.
In a way, it’s like an Arabic version of Turkish delight. That will probably only make sense to my brain.

Raspberry tart. Dark fruit preserves. Funky? This is one odd tea that everyone ought to just have fun with. It could be a love or hate tea, when I hosted a tea gathering we had half the room wanting more and the other half not even sure what they even drank.
Is that not all gaba teas though?
