My gut said not to use boiling water and upon checking a few notes here of others I was validated in that so went with a 195 degree at 3 min steep.
Results:
Smell – I am picking up the green tea aroma quite nicely! Peach is lush and juicy smelling, a small aroma of the black base coming through as well.
Mostly smelling the lovely green tea base however then peach.
Color is a light reddish brown – I can see the bottom of my cup.
Flavor – the green base is most present, peach is light, a little too light for me but I will say not artificial whatsoever. Very fresh, juicy tasting ripe peach. The black base does not over power at all but is lightly present minding its manners.
After taste of the peach is more present now which is lovely. I may have to take back what I said about wanting it more predominant, this is nice to have this light fresh after flavor.
Very bright cup, I know I keep saying it but VERY juicy.
No astringency, no bitterness, I recommend this temp and steep time.
Flavors become more predominant as tea cools somewhat but I find that with many teas.
Not sure how it would fair iced and since I only have the sample I will remain unsure but I agree with the other person who suggested the Joy’s Ocho sampler! I love my little tins and have washed some of them out to send others samples in! Great for the crafty sort of people who want to store gems, beads, pins, buttons, etc.
This is an excellent tea for those who like a light flavor that is very authentic tasting in a lovely mixed green and black base.
Personally when I have a flavored tea I like a tad more punch – I either go ALL natural with straight teas or all the way to the other spectrum with super sweet teas. The ones that lay in the middle are just not my thing but I can sure appreciate this tea for its super good quality, excellent flavors, and wonderful base. Artfully mastered!

It’s got a little more body to it than some of the other really fruity tisanes/7 treasures I’d compare it to.

In addition there is a strong peach taste and scent but it does not overpower the tea. I do not usually gravitate towards peach teas but I couldn’t resist the green and black tea blend. The flavor is unique and the tea is beautiful. It is quite the pick me up tea!
This was my second tea of the morning and it’s turning out to be a great day! I had purchased this a while ago as part of the Ocho Sampler at Joy’s Teaspoon. (If you don’t want to take a chance on a larger size bag, this is the way to go, and I LOVE the tiny tins that Joy’s T uses. They’re great for storing odds and ends when depleted of tea.)
I wasn’t sure what temp I should use to make this tea and I had to wing it as I didn’t have access to my computer at steeping time. (Thanks, Curious George on PBS Kids…) Anyway, I went with 205/3 min. It came out a bit strong for me, but still really good and full of promise if only I could figure out a better steep temp and time. I just made a second cup and it’s much lighter in flavor and I’m finding I love it so much more than the first. This tea is fruity and mellow. It’s really nice in that it’s not all black tea, but has the green as well. It adds another dimension to the tea and creates a very enjoyable cup of tea. If it were all black, I think it would change the focus from the fruit/tea balance. Right now, it’s pretty darn good. The fruitiness is slightly tart, slightly sweet. The tea is of medium strength and probably a really good tea to serve after dinner as I think it would appeal to many.
I tried this as a sample from Joy’s Teaspoon, and I’m glad that I did.
This is one of the better green/black blends I’ve had. A sip starts out light and peachy, then is taken over by the black tea. That might be my only real complaint: I would have liked more of the green tea and peach flavor. Still, it’s very nice. The peach flavor isn’t obnoxious like some fruit flavoring can be, and helps to mellow out the black tea bite. It’s most apparent in the smell, which is incredibly delicious.
I would recommend this to anybody who wants green tea with a little more oomph, or people who want a more mellow fruity black tea.
