Mengsong mountain is located in Menghai county, Xishuanbanna, whose border is Burma. There are many old tea trees in this mountain, however, most of them have been cut down about 20 years ago to make those trees easy to pluck tea leaves. So that is why most of old tree Pu Er tea is a little bit bitter than most of other old tree raw Pu Er from other villages or mountains in Yunnan.
