I got a sample teabag of this from an order I placed last year for their Earl Grey. I hadn’t heard of the company before but browsing their website I see they have a large variety of flavoured tea bags and offer them all over the world so that gives me some hope for this tea.
This is my lunch time tea (or brunch since I didn’t have one for breakfast) and will be served with some milk. Ok it turns out I have no milk left so I will add a bit of sweetener. (Note to self – buy milk)
It’s milder than I was expecting, in fact it’s smooth for a Ceylon and of medium strength. I can taste malt and fruit, like raisins or fig, rather clean tasting too ie no dry or astringent after taste. I do remember their Earl Grey being rather mild/medium in strength, perhaps their range is the same way? I can’t really say without trying.
I would say this was average, good for those that drink black teas without milk or sugar but not great for those that love strong/bold black teas (such as myself). Not terrible just not for me.
