Introducing Father’s Day: Bourbon Grey. Classic Earl Grey flavors of bergamot are blended with Kentucky Bourbon (actually!) and aged in old bourbon barrels for a sophisticated tea that’s right up Dad’s alley.
Ingredients:
Black tea, oolong tea, bergamot oil, bourbon.

I was in a mood for something simple. Tea bag preffered. Found in the TTB this tea, unknown what to expect.
This is nice Ear… ehm, there is something else. Yes, there is a bergamot, nice level of it, but it is warming me up from the inside, some woody notes… research needed … ah well, bourbon. With that alcohol I have again limited, if any, experience. I drink sometimes Scotch, if offered by brother, but this is certainly more woody.
A bit spicy, if you ask me, about this tea. Nothing distinctive, but it’s part of it. A nice autumn-weather tea, if you are not looking spice-forward tea.
Surprisingly balanced with a little bit of a spicy kick from the bourbon. The tea itself is not strong, but the bourbon flavor can be a bit much. I need to figure out how I like it. I love it’s smell and the spicy kick back, but I don’t know yet. My brother had it with cream and sugar, but this one stresses me more as a tea that would go well with honey. I can almost do it on it’s own, though again, the spicy kick back can be a bit much for my palette despite how much I enjoy it.
What a way to start a Monday. An hour of physical therapy that left me hurting before my work day even started. Then too much stuff dumped on me at work that all require I move around to different equipment, which makes is nearly impossible for me to sit down, elevate, and ice my ankle.
On the plus side, this showed up in my mailbox Saturday and its exactly what I needed. The scent when I first opened the tin was strong enough to go through my face mask and gave me a bit of a happy thrill.
Not something I’d want to drink year round, but when the summer months are here, it seems to hit the spot just right.
From what I understand, its stored\aged in old bourbon barrels. This means it picks up that scent without containing any actual alcohol.
AH okay.
I never would have thought to combine bourbon and bergamot!
