From Harney & Sons

This is a handmade black tea. Its story is that the tea plantation workers were prohibited from taking or making tea from their plantation. However, they loved tea and would steal some green leaves, when the managers were not looking. This tea was made in the kitchens of the workers.

H&S order arrived!

Ever since I tried the wonderful orange pekoes of Plucky Farms, Amba Estate, I’ve been trying to track a good source for them (originally I found them through Tealet, but their prices are WAY beyond my budget), so I was excited when I realized that Harney & Sons carried OPs from the Amba Estate too. I thought it might even be the same tea under a different brand.

Now that I’m trying it, I think this is not the case. I’m not getting those natural brown sugar notes that were in the Plucky tea. Nevertheless, this is still a very nice OP, it has that rich burnt orange color and is very robust, so I’m still glad I got it.
