From Great British Tea Store

The Irish drink more tea per capita than any other country, an average of six cups of tea per day. They also like their tea strong, strong enough to stand a spoon upright in it. This Irish Breakfast tea is an extremely robust, full-bodied blend of Kenyan and Assam teas. The second flush Assam in the blend gives the tea its characteristic strong and malty flavour, while the Kenyan tea gives the brew its attractive coppery colour, as well as floral notes that add to the depth and complexity of the blend. This is a tea traditionally taken with milk, but it is also delicious on its own.

This may be my new favorite breakfast tea! It’s wonderfully rich and full-bodied with sweet caramel and cocoa notes along with the typical malty flavor. When I drink it straight, I notice a slightly bitter aftertaste. But a splash of milk takes care of that and leaves me with a beautifully smooth, flavorful cup.

Delicious tea very similar to the Irish Breakfast Cream but a little bit more astringent. Flavors are very similar but without the creaminess of the aforementioned tea which makes sense. Has a sweet, caramel undertone and a bit malty. Love that I’ve discovered the world of Irish breakfast teas because they are very delicious!
