From Grace Rare Tea

The unique black tea, is one of the finest Keemuns we have ever seen. Also known as Xiang Luo (translated as “Fragrant Spiral”), it has a stylish, beautiful leaf with, fine, tight, curly manufacture and super aromatics. The aromatics and characteristics are due to this tea originating from the first flush of the season.

Dry leaf is longer, thinner, and more twisted than any other Keemun I have had. Black leaves with some goldish brown highlights.

Refined and very smooth taste. The floral qualities are more up front, accentuating the orchid/rose notes, but still with a satisfying depth. Some prune-like fruitiness and maybe a touch of wood. Lingers on the palate a bit. Vey nice.

Also has whispers of chocolate. Not in-your-face chocolate like some Keemuns, which is fine with me. Good for at least 3 steeps if you do it my way – 2 min / 3 min / 4 min at 195° – 200°.

I enjoyed so many of their teas, and yet have never tried this one even though Keemun is one of my favorite types. I should do something about that one day.
