From Grace Rare Tea

Once only reserved for Emperors, this premium grade Long Jing Dragonwell tea is considered one of China’s Ten Famous Teas. Also know as Long Jing, this Dragonwell green tea is hand picked and pan-fired with great skill in the remarkable Hangzhou tea region.

Rarely available outside of China, its tender, flat greenish-yellow leaves resemble small pointed swords. When brewed, Dragonwell Long Jing Chinese green tea produces a soft, rich and toasty cup with a deep, chestnut-like aroma. The vibrant straw-colored liquor is a treat that you will want to savor with every sip.

This tea is pretty nice. Has nice sweet floral flavor with a touch of toasted chestnut. Whispers of green bean/grassiness, but this one bends more towards floral (osmanthus) aspects. Good for two or three steeps western style, and probably a few more if you do the gongfu thing. For price/value, definitely some better buys out there. I don’t think I will purchase this again unless I develop a specific taste for dragonwell greens. It was nice to explore this category a bit, but I am more interested in other varieties.

Not sure how I failed to mention in the first note, but I definitely find a “roasted corn” aroma and flavor in this tea.
