Herbata o niezwykle wyrazistym smaku i zapachu. Produkowana w Chinach i na Tajwanie. Powstaje z dużych liści, które zaraz po zerwaniu osuszane są nad ogniskiem z aromatycznego, sosnowego drewna. Następnie są zwijane i umieszczane w drewnianych beczkach, gdzie wstępnie fermentują. W kolejnym etapie wytwarzania Lapsang Souchong, herbata przenoszona jest do bambusowych koszy, zawieszonych na hakach ponad ogniskami. Liście otulone przez kłęby dymu z drewna sosnowego, zostają dokładnie wysuszone, a także nabierają specyficznego, dymnego posmaku.

The unprepared tea smells very strong, and I can’t really say it’s pleasant. Once prepared, the drink itself smells pleasing, but the taste is quite different – somewhat weak, actually. One can definitely feel the smokiness, but it is subtle. Not many other flavors, to be honest.
Eh, not very balanced overall, their Russian Caravan is superior.
