From ESP Emporium

A compelling composition! The typical notes of oranges and nuts have been combined in an unusual way. Fruity components are in the foreground. Full-flavored and creamy nut notes accompany them softly. The taste of a first class praline. The typical character of the infused tea leaf becomes softer and smoother due to the addition of Japan Bancha.

There’s kind of a toasty smell and taste to this tea, along with the orange flavor. I guess I agree with the other tasting notes that the orange flavor is a little bit artificial, but it’s not like Tang or anything. I would rate this tea as an “OK.”

I believe this sample is from Rachel Sincere, ty!

DRY: Interesting little cubes in this tea, mixed with leaves and orange peel bits. Checking ESP, these cubes are caramel pieces.
STEEPED: Orangey smell mixed with a distinctive caramel smell. Pale yellow tea.

TASTE: sweet orange (a more artificial / candy taste) with a base of green tea – the tea is nice and mellow. Bit of a caramel smooth taste.

COMMENTS: I really enjoyed the green tea taste as it’s a perfect mellow and tasty. However, the orange was kinda weird tasting being artificial. I think this would be better as an iced tea

Smells like a candy store orangey and yummy. The longer you smell the more lemony Citrusy it smells. Looking into the pouch the majority is green tea not just filler which I like. Little bits of orange peel, cut almonds and little squares of caramel. I’m also seeing tiny little twig pieces, perhaps from the picking process. Not what I expected to find in a good tea. The smell while brewing you can definitely pick up the caramel pieces, dark and soothing. First sip I was not expecting a smoky flavor. Unfortunately, I’m mostly get fake orange flavoring. I was expecting more of a creamy texture but that could depend on how many caramel pieces you get in each teaspoon. I will have to explore this one further.  I don’t want to give up on it yet.

Thank you to whoever sent me this in the adorable princess bag! The aroma of this tea is heavenly. The flavor is even more so! It’s creamy, fruity, and warm. It has a nice, natural orange flavor followed by a buttery, creamy note.
Thanks again!

I brew this for 3 minutes at 185°F and then put in the refrigerator to chill overnight. I drink it iced. I’ve been able to get two steeps like this without diminishing flavor.

To me this tastes like an orange caramel green tea. The green tea base is nice and smooth without any bitterness and a nice green tea aftertaste. The flavoring is light. There is a candy orange flavor with caramel side taste. There is no artificial aftertaste, which I like. It’s a good tea.

I feel almost wary to rate this tea right now… When I first brewed it, I hated it. There was just some aspect of the taste that didn’t work for me. So I left it sit for a while… Tepid was still not great. The only time I liked this tea was a few hours after being brewed drank alongside a bowl of curried rice noodles. Was it the cold tea? Was it that anything would taste good to cool my mouth down after the curry? I can’t be sure.
