A comforting infusion with a characteristic taste of freshly steamed asparagus. The wet leaves really strongly represent this aroma, while the infusion itself contains it as a light touch. Also a little creamy, this cup will enliven the senses like a Japanese green, but with a very different vegetal taste.
Granted, the reviews for this one are 9+ years old, but it’s way underrated on this site. Best tea I’ve had from Dobra for sure. My first time trying yellow tea (the last of the categories for me to sample :)) and I see why people like it! Definitely a hybrid between white and green tea flavors, although perhaps this one leans a good bit closer to white tea notes.
I get very little in the way of vegetal notes here unlike other reviewers. Mostly sweet and sort of fruity. Definitely a note I can’t place either. Would generally describe it as a savory note. Most similar tea I’ve tried is FL’s moonlight white tbh.

My new gaiwan arrived in the mail yesterday (the glass one, inevitably, shattered). This one is just plain white porcelain, is much sturdier, has a good lid for pouring, and it’s beautiful. I chose the perfect tea to try it out with, too, because this particular tea is known for its leaves that “dance” in the water. Seeing these tea leaves steeping in this gaiwan filled me with a sense of beauty and calm. This tea is very fragrant while it steeps, releasing a floral, springy scent.
It tastes like asparagus and something else that I can’t quite identify. It’s like a light perfume. Lovely, calming tea.
