I got this as a free sample in my last Della Terra order, I was very pleased I got this one, because it was almost in my order! I had a cup a few weeks ago but forgot to log it, so I will now, as this is most definitely an Eastery tea due to the name!

I was unsure of what to expect looking at the dry blend. There were a few peas, quite a bit of corn, some carrot bits, and the tea itself. The peas had me the most worried, because I really hate cooked peas (raw are delicious though, and pea pods are fine haha). But the dry smell is pleasantly peachy and very light. I steeped for 2 minutes. The steeped smell is peach once again, but with a different, full smell from the vegetables. I think it’s the corn that’s causing it. It smells quite mouthwatering and refreshing.

The taste is very light and quite delicious. First I get a wonderful mouthfeel, kind of thick yet light, from the vegetables. There’s a mild corn taste, and mid-sip the peach really shines. The tea base goes perfectly with this blend as well. The aftertaste tapers off and leaves a clean feeling in the mouth. I don’t get much lemongrass anywhere, but this tea is still pretty good!

Overall, an interesting tea, I wasn’t sure what I would get with so many vegetables in the blend. But they add more to the feel of the tea rather than any strong veggie flavors, and the peach brings it together nicely. Thanks for the sample Della Terra!

I admit the veggies scared me a little, I did not order this one, but it seems interesting
nontheless!

It is very interesting! I’m happy with the results, and you might get it as a sample to try too :)

This is my cold brew for the day. Something told me this would make a really interesting/good cold brew and I seem to be dying of heat (even though it’s not really so hot in our apartment) so a cold brew definitely seems right for the moment.

In total, this cold brewed for about eight hours. Taste wise, it’s definitely a vegetal green with some very nice peach notes to it – and I can get behind the vegetalness of this one because it has actual vegetables in it. Quite thirst quenching and refreshing, indeed. I think this is better cold brewed, too – even if the peach is a little less strong. When I send some to VariaTEA I’ll make sure to add enough for her to try it hot and cold, though.

Unrelated, I am so thankful I’m going to the dentist’s again on Tuesday because I’m back to being in a lot of mouth pain again – and my pain meds are almost all gone. That said, only like half of it is actually coming from my teeth – the rest is from the inside of my left cheek where I cut myself on a piece of silverware, like an idiot. I think maybe it’s infected? At the very least – it’s really sore.

Ouch! Swishing warm salt water around sometimes helps me. :(

VariaTEA

Yay for enough to cold brew and try hot! Also I am sorry to hear the mouth pain is back. Like carol who said, warm salt water should help or you can also put a bit of honey on it as that is a natural antibacterial.

Starfevre

You know what is also antibacterial? TEA

Especially white tea, fyi

OMG THIS TEA HAD CORN, PEAS, CARROTS AND PEACHES! I have no fear in trying this tea! (though, in the back of my mind I was worried this would taste like veggie broth). Benson, my holland lop, will be very angry if I didn’t buy rabbit themed tea!

Hot, this tea is quite light tasting that is slightly peachy, with lots of buttery vegetal flavors going on. The corn adds some interesting body to to this tea that I’m not sure if I like or not. It’s kinda weird. Sweetened, it really tastes like corn. Weird.

However, cold steeped is where this tea is at! 2 hours in the fridge = magic! The light Rabbit Garden tea becomes this full flavor garden of super peachy and sugar snap peas deliciousness!

Really hard for me to put a number rating on this tea. Hot, it is okay – really light though. Cold steeped is amazing! I will cold steep the rest of my 1oz stash!

Yum, I have been very interested in this one!

Kittenna

I think I’ll be picking up a sample size of this one, to split. I’m curious, but… yeaaaahhh…

I’ll have to give this another shot and try it cold-brewed! Thanks for the tip.

A tea that is truly inspiring. Forget your fancy, sugar coated bits in your flavoured tea, I’m going au natural and getting my groove on with carrot, sweetcorn and peas. Fo sho!

In raw form this blend smells like sweet and juicy peach with a slight hint of citrus lemongrass. So very delicious, not usually a peach person but this smells beautiful.

Once steeped this tea is yellow in colour with the same juicy peach scent as it’s raw form. If I was told this tea contained peas, sweetcorn and carrot I would not believe it, it’s not in the scent nor in the taste. But the fact that it does contain three unusual ingredients makes it that more special.

Flavour is very peachy and sweet with high citrus tones and something dark and green which I assume to be the green tea base. So it’s sweet and fruity with green, refreshing tones and a citrus kick. All in all it’s a nice blend, something that would make wonderful iced tea.

Much nicer than I was expecting. ZOMG MOTH ATTACK!!!! I hate moths and anything that flies in my face, one just came through the window next to me and made me scream, almost losing my tea :( Damn you moth, go back to mothland shakes fist As I was saying I was not expecting this to be nice or not so nice, just different. Also re steeps very well.

Stupid moths. When I was a couple sentences up, I saw MOTH at the side of my eye and was expecting you to mention that all of a sudden, it tasted like mothballs haha.

This is the last of the Della Terra samples from Cavocorax! Quite a few of the teas she sent my way were fantastic, and I probably never would’ve gotten around to trying them if it wasn’t for her. A huge thanks from over here!

This tea was the one I was most skeptical about- it has corn in it. And peas. Drinks that contain veggies can be amazing though, if they have the right balance of things. I don’t mind veggie drinks like carrot juice so I think I can go into this vegetable fruit tea with an open mind.

The dry leaf smells quite fruit-sweet, yet vegetal. No surprises there. The broth is a slightly cloudy, light buttery colour. The tea itself tastes a bit buttery and reminds me of a smoother, peach version of Movie Night from David’s Tea (apples, popcorn, green tea, maple). I taste peaches, butter, sweet and zingy lemongrass, and more butter. I pick up some caramel popcorn notes here and there too. This is actually a really nice peach tea. Colour me surprised (I know, who says that?). It makes me want some real peaches!

This is on my list to try from them, actually. :)

I made the last of mine iced and it was a hit! I had a few people ask what it was, and I thought it funny when they found out it had corn and peas. :P Glad you enjoyed it.

Ozli

Huh!! That sounds pretty intriguing!

I think I received this in a swap from Dexter3657, and so, thank you for sharing! This is a tea I really wanted to try. Just the title is intriguing, and then the ingredient list? Fascinating.

I’m unsure what I was expecting here though – perhaps a decaf (it’s not, and it’s almost 1am here, so… I’m tempting my sleep yet again). Perhaps a tasty, veggie tea treat? Dunno. All I know is, this both smells and tastes very vegetal, and really I find it just to be a green tea for the most part. It’s also gotten quite astrigent even though I steeped it for only three minutes at a low temperature… perhaps I did something wrong.

I couldn’t get this tea to work for me either. I was so looking forward to something carrot-y too!

Dexter

I think (IIRC) you requested this. Not something I would normally just add to a swap. I haven’t tried it yet, and that doesn’t sound encouraging. I was hoping for “green tea soup”.

MissB

Yea, I’m pretty sure I did request it. It’s just such a great concept. “Green tea soup”? Hm. I can see how it might taste like that, maybe… possibly… I really just got green tea.

I didn’t really know what to expect with this tea. I just think it’s cute :) it’s sweeter than I thought it was going to be. It has lovely fruity/peachy notes and kind of a vegetal/corn flavor. The lemongrass is present but it’s more in the background. The green base is pleasant. This is a silly tea to me. :)

I swear I reviewed this before… weird.

Anyway, this is one of my fave unique blends from Della Terra Teas – and to me, exemplifies the awesomeness of the company. Where else will you find a tea with veggies in it that doesn’t taste like soup?!

I love the smell of this one as it’s brewing – a mix of peach and veggies, just like my grandma’s garden. The flavor is pretty close to the aroma, which is a pleasant experience. The green tea base is the perfect complement to the veggies and peaches.

YUMS!

Dexter

They are discontinuing this, it’s on a list of teas that are 20% off right now, and they said they aren’t coming back.

I was a little concerned becuase the outside of the sealed package smelled very sweet and fruity. It was contaminated from all the other teas I had bought. But once I opened the bag and smelled, it was sweet green tea and lemongrass. The tea itself was not contaminated.

The brewing tea smells of very sweet green tea and slight lemongrass. Not sugar sweet, but how vegetables can be sweet, like sweet carrots. There is a strong smell of peach.

The tea tastes like a vegetal green tea base with a light lemongrass flavour. You can taste the sweetness from the carrots and peas. There is the sweetness of the peach at the end of the sip.

Overall I am surprised. I was expecting this tea to taste more like a soup broth base. But it is actually a good tea. The vegetables in this blend add more of a sweet flavour than a vegetable flavour. I am quite impressed and am thinking I will have to keep this blend around. I think it would make a great after meal drink.

I need to have a cup of this today since it’s Easter! Thank you for reminding me :)

Lala

Ha ha. I had to think about that for a minute. Because its a rabbit tea. Ha ha. Still not fully awake yet. I agree. Great Easter tea!!

mrs.stenhouse12

Yeah it just occurred to me it was an Easter tea as well! Don’t worry, I’m still waking up as well, although matcha is helping with that!

Sil

neat. this one didn’t seem like something i’d enjoy but maybe now that i’ve read this i’ll give it a try

I used the last of my sample of this to make a pitcher of iced tea. Even cold-steeped, I still don’t taste any of the veggies. The peach is a little less obvious this way. The base is still nice.
