For the first time in a while, I’m not napping while the baby takes his morning nap… which is something I’ll have to get used to as workplaces don’t typically condone hour-long naps around 10:30am…

Also, the baby went down for his nap without tears today! This is a big breakthrough; it hadn’t happened in a couple weeks. Crying babies are exhausting.

So yes, this tea. I hadn’t brewed up anything cold for myself in a few days, owing to sheer exhaustion, but I popped some of this in yesterday. Definitely worth it, as it’s delicious. Light in flavour, and sweet. Very refreshing. I do need to remember to strain it in the next little while though, as it becomes less delicious when steeped for too long. (Overnight seems fine, but a full day is too long.)

Sil

Oh man. I’d hurt something if she cried every nap. Lol. Ian’s cousin has to rock her kid for 30 mins before she can put him down and have him stay down.

We’re moving on to the Cold Brew collection now – and this year there are two new teas from that collection. This is my favourite of the two new ones, and maybe my second favourite of the five over all? I really enjoy Berry Burst, so that’s my number one…

I like the idea of a cold brew black tea that’s, well, just black tea – straight teas are awesome and I wish DT featured them more often. This one makes a lot of sense to me as a cold brew; you can either just enjoy it as a straight black tea (so refreshing!) or you can add things like fruits to it – it’s quite tasty with some lemon slices tossed in!

Basically, this tastes like honey – very, very sweet and smooth. The first time I ever tried it in the lab I had to triple check that it was, in fact, a straight black tea because I just couldn’t believe there wasn’t some sort of honey flavouring blended in. It’s so distinct, rich and tasty! First time in a long, long while that I’ve been hit with a honey note that tasty…

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
