From DAVIDsTEA

Steep some all-natural wellness with pure organic turmeric. Sweet and earthy with a warm and bright taste, this spicy root is a deliciously vibrant way to keep your complexion and digestion on lock. Sip it straight up for a caffeine-free infusion or add a spoonful to your fave loose leaf blend for added benefits. It’s pure gold.

How it tastes:

Sweet, smooth and earthy, with notes of spicy ginger and a hint of citrus

What makes it great:

● Turmeric is not only great for digestion, it’s also been hailed as an Ayurvedic skin-saver for centuries.

● Made using small pieces of turmeric root so you can infuse it straight up or mix it into your fave wellness tea for added benefits.

50 g of this tea makes around 10-12 16 oz cups of hot tea and 5-7 16 oz cups of iced tea.

Totally forgot to review this one – it sneakily launched as an online exclusive earlier in the month, though I think it’s technically in one of the kits/samplers from the 2019 Wellness Collection; the one where you can blend in your own straight herbal ingredients to wellness related teas for added benefits.

I don’t think there’s really much to say here for this one – I mostly just want to have it documented so I can keep alive the streak of having tasted every tea currently available in store or online. It’s turmeric though – plain, simple, and spicy. Not my jam – not my jam at all. Definitely not something that I would ever willingly add more of to a tea; but I do still totally love the idea of having it available for other people who would be interested in doing that. I mean, there are other herbals that I definitely add into teas for a little extra ‘oomph’ (mostly spearmint, sometimes clove for teeth related things) so why not have turmeric available for the spice people!?

I just know I had a cup of this straight, at work, to cross it off my list and I felt like I was dying. Lord, that was an intense spice!

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
