Made with turmeric, genmaicha and ginger, this digestion-friendly green tea is the perfect blend to sip on after a heavy meal. You might even call it your new secret weapon. Lightly spiced with a roasted depth and sweetness, it soothes your stomach like no other. And as an added bonus, we added complexion-loving turmeric to give you that natural glow. A beauty of a blend, inside and out!

How it tastes:

Lightly spicy ginger flavour with a roasted depth and sweetness

What makes it great:

● Made with digestion-friendly spices like warming ginger and cleansing turmeric.

● The perfect tea to sip on after a heavy meal.

● We love the sweet roasted rice flavour in this rejuvenating green tea blend.

50 g of this tea makes around 10-12 16 oz cups of hot tea and 5-7 16 oz cups of iced tea.

Grabbed some of this from the tea box. The main flavor is the genmaicha with just a touch of warming turmeric and ginger underneath. I’ve been really into genmaicha lately, especially fun flavored ones, so I liked this! I definitely prefer other flavors in general than turmeric ginger, but this wasn’t bad at all.

I always appreciate medicinal teas more when I’m sick, so I figured I’d have this one. I am one of those weird people who actually doesn’t like drinking anything when they have a sore throat as it typically feels worse, but this tea + honey actually felt amazing when I had it this time. However, I couldn’t taste anything. I had a resteep, though, and was pleasantly surprised – it tastes like genmaicha with ginger. Quite nice, actually. I’ll save the rest of this for the next time I’m sick, I think!

This tea sounded so odd and fad-inspired I had to try it. Ginger, turmeric, and genmaicha. I love ginger and genmaicha respectively, and don’t have a problem with the turmeric craze right now. Put all these things together and how do they taste?

In the dry leaf, the smell of ginger and turmeric is so strong I didn’t have any confidence that the green genmaicha would stand up to them. Brewed, the tea is much more calming than expected. The apple pieces sweeten the hot ginger and earthy tumeric. Believe it or not, the toasty puffed rice of the genmaicha is present in both the scent and taste. Any green tea notes are a bit lost under the turmeric and not sweet or brothy enough to be pleasant enough to note.

This is an okay tea. It is not my favorite genmaicha and not my favorite ginger tea, and I don’t think these two flavors are a prefect match, but considering how wild the ingredient combination was, this was a pleasant surprise.

I like this one a lot. My stomach has been upset a lot lately and the ginger in this is just so soothing to it at the moment.

So much to my surprise, the day after first trying this tea hot I found myself deeply craving it once again. What the heck!? This is very much not a tea that would typically be my jam! However, I had to drop something off to someone after work, and in doing so that placed me right beside a DAVIDsTEA – one with a seating area, too!

So, I popped in and grabbed one of these iced with a nice hearty splash of milk as well. I think what I was craving most was actually the strong, roasted rice note and Genmaicha in the blend. I don’t currently have a straight Genmaicha stocked up at home (shocking, given my nearly 600 tea collection) so it’d been the first time in a while I’d revisited that beautifully delicious profile.

The milk was a nice touch; it added creaminess of course but also went well with the Turmeric to make a sort of “moon milk” type of profile. But chilled/iced, of course. I think I’m (hopefully) all set on the cravings for a while now, though!

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
