From DAVIDsTEA

We all know watermelon is the king of summer. In ancient times, travelers kept themselves refreshed by carrying watermelons instead of water while crossing the African Kalahari Desert. Today, this sweet pink fruit has become a staple at barbecues, pool parties and picnics. But if you ask us, this tart and juicy brew takes our favourite melon to a whole other level. Try it on ice with sparkling water, honey and a squeeze of lime – it’s the ultimate summer thirst quencher. Pucker up!

Ingredients: Sour apple (apple, citric acid), honeydew melon (melon, sugar), watermelon, beetroot, artificial orange-mint flavouring.

Price per 50g: $7.98

2021 Sipdown 60/365!
(DavidsTea 139)

A nice pitcher of this the other day. I do wish it had more melon flavour, but I like the tartness, especially when brewed stronger. Reminiscent of sour watermelon candies, without the huge sugar hit. This is another one of those fruity teas where a pitcher pack isn’t really enough for a full pitcher that actually tastes flavourful, but I like the flavour enough to deal with that.

I got this one in a Reddit tea exchange in 2017, and I loved it so much that I ordered 4 oz during the next sale. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite hold up to my memories of it. It tastes like sour watermelon candy, but there’s something in the flavor that’s not quite perfect.

DISCLAIMER- I have hated every melon tea I have ever tried

The only reason I had this tea was because I won it in a contest this summer as a part of the 2017 summer collection. I’ve been putting off trying it ever since. It tasted like quite sour watermelon with strong honeydew. I did not like this one at all. To use it up, I mixed it in with other teas in a 1-4 ratio so that I couldn’t even taste it but was still using it up. I’m glad it’s gone.

Iced is the way to be right now. Watermelon was the most prominent flavour here, followed by honeydew. The sourness comes from a Granny Smith apple undertone. And that’s the end of the short chapter.

Sil

that sounds kinda good

So good! i made it as an iced tea with a spoonful of sugar. It tasted like watermelon candy. :) I’m tempted to compare it to Luscious Watermelon. LW was excellent, but tasted MUCH more like pure watermelon juice. I can’t decide which one I like best!

Iced tea! I used two sample packets in 1 liter of water and it came out too weak. It was sour and that was about all the flavour I got from it. It didn’t taste bad though, which is encouraging me to buy some more because I LOVE watermelon. During the summer I buy 2-4 watermelons a week and could probably eat 1 a day if I allowed myself to. I think with a stronger brew this could work with vodka… calorie free bevies?? I’ll wait to rate in case I do try it again with more leaf.
