Organic Cream of Earl Grey [duplicate]

I don’t find the cream flavour prevalent at all, however as an earl grey, it is a wonderful tea.

I think this tea may be cursed. I spilled the first cup on my dog, the second was dumped in my keyboard (and fried my mouse as collateral damage) and the third was just…underwhelming.

As someone who’s a huge fan of Earl Grey I came into this with high hopes, but it really didn’t deliver; the cream notes tasted flat and the EG was underwhelming, especially compared to Adagio’s Earl Grey Moonlight or even Paromi’s Earl Grey.

It didn’t suck to finish the cup, but I definitely didn’t re-steep and I’m glad I only have the small sample to get through. So yeah, not a favorite.

I bought a little 5 teabag “top 5” sampler that was on sale when I made my online order. For $3.50 I got 5 teabags of teas I enjoy, but don’t keep in stock in my cupboard very often. Also, the pouch it comes in is super cute.

I like this a lot more than I expected to. I thought I would feel a bit “meh” towards it. I don’t remember there being much creamy flavour last time I drank it, but this time is was very creamy and rich. I added a touch of milk and found it even maintained a great flavour on the second steep. I like the bergamot, the creamy flavour is good…but more like condensed cream than vanilla or milk. Regardless, I might get a little bag of this for mornings when I need some caffeine.

This is the first earl grey tea that I have ever had that I did not like, even compared to other teas labelled as “creamy” earl grey. Upon looking at other varieties of tea, I see that most don’t include marigolds as this one does. I believe it is specifically the marigold taste that I find very off-putting, it has a bitter flower-y sortof taste that I did not like at all.

May have over steeped it by 30 seconds but even with that amount I still find it lacks what an Earl Grey should be. Not enough bergamot flavor, granted this is a cream earl grey so the creamy notes should stand out more, and they do, but the overall flavor reminds me more of a matly flavor.

I’m not a huge fan of Earl Grey, but that’s because of the overwhelming bergamot that most companies make it with. This doesn’t have any bergamot flavoring or scent, but it is very creamy. It’s almost chemically tasting with the level of creaminess it aims for, and I don’t think it’s very good. The creamy flavor leaves an aftertaste, and because of that I don’t think I’d try this tea again.

I love earl grey and I love vanilla, I really just didn’t care for this one. I tried it twice with different steeping times (7 minutes vs. 4 minutes) – and I still didn’t like it. It wasn’t disgusting – I just couldn’t taste the earl grey nor the vanilla.

Very disappointed and ended up giving it away – I’m hoping that Teavana’s Lavender Creme would be good!

Surprisingly I only tried this for the first time last week – when on the way to NB, I found some DT sachets at a gas station! Lucky me! Anyway, I decided to try this one because I read the ingredients and it said there was no bergamot, which is what I hate in earl grey teas – so I thought why not? I might like it, and turns out it was not bad! No bergamot, which is great, and a nice hint of vanilla flavouring… It’s nice with some sugar for a morning tea. I suppose it would be good with a touch of milk too, which I have yet to try, but I do like this tea.

This is one of my favorite teas when I want some caffeine. It has a licorice flavor to it that I enjoy. I’m not overwhelmed by the vanilla (creamy) flavor, but I know it is disliked by some purists.

This is my go to breakfast tea. Perfect earl grey flavour with a hint of creamy vanilla. I drink this every day with a tiny splash of soy milk.
