From DarjeelingTeaXpress

This is one of the first teas from 2012 First Flush Darjeeling season and one of the finest products of Rohini in 2012 till date. For many of our customers who have loved Gopaldhara wonder tea from our last year stocks, this tea comes very very close. It is for those Darjeeling lovers who seek rich and luxurious liquors. The leaves were plucked on 3rd March and the tea was processed on 4th March. Doesn’t fit perfectly into the first flush mould, because it has some of the deeper, richer flavors and aromas of second flush Darjeeling. No matter, this tea will definitely have its fans, given its fullness of body and richness of taste. !

This Darjeeling seems to sit somewhere in the middle of bright and dark, in sight scent and taste.

The leaves are light and full, dark greenish in color, and have a dark yet fresh scent, which follow as they are steeped.

The liquor is a deep amber color, not quite dark but not quite bright either, and has a slight woody scent.

But the taste is much more, a deep and bold and full flavor, sharp yet fresh.

The description compares this to my favorite Gopaldhara wonder tea, and indeed it has potential to come close, not quite as complex or exciting; despite, I very much enjoy this tea.
