Teas out of Nepal have a tendency to stun us when we are taste testing teas. Maybe it’s because Nepal is one of the most scenic places in the world or maybe it’s because tea farmers in Nepal pull out all of the stops to make their teas stand out from their neighboring country, India. This tea did indeed stun us! It’s a non-balled Oolong comprised of carefully picked full leaves. The dried leaves smell of chestnuts, honey, and sweet potatoes. The brewed tea has a gold color, a roasted chestnut with a hint of cinnamon aroma. It has a full bodied, thick taste of caramel and chestnuts. This tea has an extra something in it that can’t be labeled in an objective way, but this tea just makes you feel really good, every time!
