Organic Oolong made from Chin Shin Da Mo cultivar and processed in nitrogen to increase GABA to 200mg per 100g. Fragrant aroma of wine gums. Muscat flavour with a summer rain on hot stone freshness and smoky sugar honeyed finish.
GABA is a powerful neurotransmitter to enhance relaxation and mental function. Contains 210mg of GABA per 100g.
In order to be called GABA tea, the leaves must contain at least 150mg of GABA per 100g (normal oolong has about 6mg so that is 25 times higher). However, our Gabalong is laboratory tested and contains 210mg of GABA which is 35 times the amount found in normal tea.
GABA stands for gamma-amino butyric acid, an amino acid that is one of the main neurotransmitters in your central nervous system. Neurotransmitters help nerve signals to travel between cells (neurons). The GABA chemical functions to prevent over-excitement of the nervous system by controlling the movement of signals between neurons.
GABA tea has an abundant amount of health benefits. Some would even describe GABA as a ‘super tea’.

This is my second tasting of this tea. I did a rinse at 165 Degrees and 4 seconds to help wake the tea up. it seemed to work because the first infusion was rich and mellow. The liquor is dark and the taste teeters between honey and muscat. I’m also tasting a wet dock on a lake. not alot, it might be a personal observation, but isn’t it all? Not super complex, but great taste. Feeling slightly caffeinated / qi.
I think I’ll be feeling it for a while… not sure if I like tht muscat flavor.
