TeaTiff TTB #8

If this wasn’t labeled as a black tea, I might have guessed it was an oolong. Super smooth with a rich, buttery mouthfeel! The passionfruit flavor was a bit muted when hot, but came through more strongly as it cooled. I’m thinking this would be amazing as an iced tea!

I had this tea with my lunch today at Noodles and Company. Normally, I don’t like iced teas at restaurants because a lot of times they’re from concentrate (blech). This tea is pretty good though. It’s fresh and fruity, not artificial tasting at all. I don’t know that it exactly tastes like passion fruit but it tastes good!

Iced tea has always been a staple in my home, but I find many restaurant teas to be hit or miss. Anymore I generally avoid ordering them because they just aren’t up to my standards. I love this tea, it is one of my favorites when I’m eating out because it is so much nicer than the standard Lipton tea or ::shudder:: tea concentrates that many restaurants favor. Huge bonus points for actually being loose leaf tea. I recently had it at Noodles and Company, but PF Changs and a number of other restaurants serve it. You don’t need to add a sweetener and it has a nice fruity flavor to it, even if it doesn’t really taste like passion fruit. This is definitely on my top 5 list for favorite restaurant teas.
