I’ve had this sample bag in my cupboard for awhile, but have been hesitant to try it because of the rose. I have been afraid that this would be too much like perfume or just simply that the rose would overshadow the white tea base too much. Surprisingly this brewed up a burnt orange shade that suprised me due to it being a white tea, but I suppose the rose is the culprit. First sip without additives, it has a somewhat sweet taste but the floral notes are overpowering. I honestly don’t know if I can finish this cup. Let me add some honey to see if it smooths it out a bit. Nope, now it just tastes like honey flavored perfume. Okay, down the drain it goes. I think the issue is that the rose was too much for the white tea base, perhaps I would like rose better with a black tea. Or maybe rose just isn’t for me.
