From Bünting Tee

This is the standard loose leaf East Frisian blend by Bünting, one the original purveyors of the variety. A strong, aromatic blend of Assam leaves.

We ran out of Twinings English Breakfast and needed a strong, quality loose black tea quickly to make sure we had a morning brew to kickstart the family. I wanted to try something stronger and more malty than English Breakfast but Twinings does not import any strong teas into Germany. Not even Irish Brekkie. I will need to find a specialty shop in Munich or somewhere – or just order online. Anyway, let’s not go into that. This classic East Frisian blend was the only thing around the local grocery so I gave it a shot. No regrets so far – it is supple but not overwhelming. We have it with a bit of very creamy milk fresh from the farm, and given the very hard water around these parts, I just could do with something more malty and punchy in the morning.
